A capacitor rated at 45 microfarads reading 31 has lost a third of its capacity. The system still runs, so nothing appears wrong, but the compressor draws more current and runs hotter every cycle. In Valley heat capacitors are a wear item, and only a meter under load finds this.
Condensate drains blocking with algae
Our humidity means a residential system pulls several gallons of water a day out of the air, so drain lines stay permanently damp. Electrical testing
